Job Profile:

Ararat – The Signature Collection is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Cook B to join our culinary team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a luxury hospitality environment, working alongside experienced chefs and contributing to the delivery of high-quality dining experiences.

The Cook B will support kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to the standards of a 5-star establishment.

 

Job Description:

  • Assist Cook A and the Executive Chef with food preparation and cooking tasks
  • Prepare ingredients and dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of food items
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in assigned kitchen areas
  • Support stock control by ensuring proper storage, rotation, and freshness of ingredients
  • Always follow all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of food presentation and portion control
  • Support daily kitchen operations as required

 

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience as a Cook B or in a similar role within a professional kitchen (hospitality experience and à la carte service considered an advantage)
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop within a professional kitchen environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
